PVC profiles for electronics

Enclosure sections, PCB card guides, insulators, protective casings, cable strain reliefs.

Overview

Electronics OEMs need something narrow that a lot of extruders can’t consistently deliver: profile-to-profile dimensional consistency measured in tenths of a millimetre, surface finish clean enough that a card slots without gouging, and material that behaves predictably when it sits next to warm silicon for years. We run tighter cross-section tolerance than our general-purpose stock, on cleaner grades of PVC, ABS and HIPS. For OEMs building compact consumer electronics, control panels, telecom gear or industrial IoT hardware, we cut custom die profiles that replace machined aluminium or moulded ABS at meaningful cost savings. Common requests: aluminium-alternative enclosure sections, PCB card guides for rack cages, insulating strips between metal shields, cable strain reliefs, ventilation grille profiles. Small runs welcome — we routinely take 500 kg prototype orders from OEMs qualifying a new enclosure design.

Common use cases

Enclosure sections (Al-alternative)

Extruded PVC or ABS sections for compact electronics enclosures. Drop-in replacement for machined aluminium at 40–60% lower cost. Standard side, top and bottom sections plus custom.

PCB card guides & rails

Slot-and-rail profiles for cardcage assemblies. Standard 1.6 mm, 2.0 mm and 3.2 mm PCB thickness slots. Custom pitches on request.

Insulating strips & dielectric barriers

Solid PVC strips as dielectric spacers between metal shields, transformer cores, and high-voltage components. Standard 0.5–2 mm thickness.

Cable strain reliefs & ferrules

Flexible PVC strain relief profiles for cable exits from enclosures. Sized for standard cable OD ranges.

Ventilation grille profiles

Extruded ventilation grilles for enclosure airflow. Slot patterns match standard 40 mm and 60 mm fan mount cutouts.

Protective end-use casings

Full casings for consumer and industrial electronics where full injection tooling isn’t justified. Extrusion + machining = short-run enclosure.

FAQ

How tight can you hold cross-section tolerance?

Standard: ±0.2 mm on section. Tighter tolerances (±0.1 mm) available on request, subject to profile geometry and material. For very tight-tolerance work we’ll sample first and confirm what your die can hold repeatably.

Do you offer secondary machining?

Yes. All in-house: drilling, punching, notching, slot cutting, edge routing, cut-to-length. For enclosure work this often turns an extrusion into a finished, ready-to-assemble part.

Are your compounds RoHS compliant?

Yes, our standard PVC, ABS and HIPS compounds are RoHS compliant. Declaration on request.

Can you supply small qualification runs?

Yes. We regularly supply 500–1000 kg prototype/qualification runs for OEMs testing a new enclosure design. Full production terms after design freeze.
